Full brother to Trakehner Riding Horse Champion Top Secret

“This stallion comes from a top dam line and can more than underline this pedigree promise with spectacular movement potential,” the jury summarised its impressions of the celebrated premium stallion of the Trakehner Stallion Market 2025, Top Star U.S. “He thus stands in the family tradition of the dressage champion Topmodel and the impressive Trakehner riding horse champion Top Secret. The quality of movement is one of the absolute top of the licensing collection. The functional body, characterized by an elastic structure of the hind leg, the closed and stable back and a collar that is always stably supported, enable a process that meets the highest quality standards. A stallion with very special moments of movement.” After an intense bidding duel, Joop van Uytert and Paul Schockemöhle were able to secure this jewel together.

The sire is the Trakehner premium stallion Kwahu, who was ridden by Helen Langehanenberg to gold at the Trakehner National Tournament for six-year-old dressage horses in 2023 and secured the title at St. Georges level again the following year with another double victory. The pair also won the championship at the Trakehner Stallion Market and then secured their first international placings in Neumünster. In 2025, Kwahu moved under the saddle of the young up-and-coming rider Mariam Gurtskaya/GEO, who competed in the European Junior Championships and in Inter II competitions.

Top Star U.S.’s full brother, Top Secret, won gold in the riding horses category at the Trakehner National Tournament under Lisa Volpp and also defended his title in the four-year-old classification with an overall score of 9.3. He also represented his breeding area at the German Championships. In 2025, at the age of five, top placings in L dressage horse tests followed. From the 14 foals of the dam Tacco, the Styrian Vice National Champion and Grand Prix successful Topmodel (by All Inclusive)/Ulrike Prunthaller/AUT as well as the medium (M) dressage horses Tattoo (by Herbstkönig), Taliska (by Imhotep) and Tesla (by Helium) continue to stand out. Tacco’s full sister Tadeau produced the licensed and successful in medium level dressage Fürst Cadeau (by Fürstenball).

The Danish-born dam’s sire Cadeau was second Reserve Champion of his licensing, received the title Elite Stallion in 2009 and was named Trakehner Stallion of the Year in 2015. Five of his sons were licensed, including Irdenkreis, who was successful up to Grand Prix. Cadeau’s daughters also gained great influence, including the national champion mare Kalla and the mare Susuya as the dam of the Trakehner licensing winner Sir Sansibar.

The granddam Tugga produced the licensed stallion Tudor (by Iskander) and the international dressage horse Theoderich (by Herzensdieb).

The third generation is followed by the Reserve Champion, Elite Stallion and Trakehner Stallion of the Year 2001, Sixtus, who represents the valuable stallion line of the Habicht – Burnus AAH. Under Gilbert Böckmann and Richard Grom, Sixtus collected successes in the course up to 1.40 meter jumping. Twelve of his sons were licensed, including Axis TSF/Terhi Stegars/FIN, who competed at World and European Championships and is a two-time World Cup finalist.

Trakehner line of the O160A Fall Manier-Grabau, from which also the stallions Fundador (by Condus), Troubadour (by Flaneur), Troy (by Amiego), Tournament (by Troubadour), Harnisch (by Handelsherr), Flushing Meadow (by Swazi xx), Fernando (by Flugwind) and Fandango (by Sixtus).
