The Stallion Shop’s founders are mother and daughter team Olive and Chloe Broderick.
Many of you will know Olive very well, she is the owner along with her husband Ivor of Kylemore Stud, who have been providing breeding services in the sport horse sector in Ireland for 25 years.
Olive has managed the mare breeding barn at Kylemore Stud for 25 years, along with the day to day office management. She has an indepth knowledge of mare fertility. She is well known for her client focused practical approach, and is always available to discuss breeding needs/issues in depth with her clients.
Chloe was conferred with her Veterinary Medicine doctorate in spring 2023 from Wroclaw University. Chloe has grown up around horses and breeding. She has a wonderful interest in reproduction and sport breeding, and a keen eye for talent. Her interest in showjumping and eventing was not a surprise. Having seen how many top competition horses were bred and sourced by her father Ivor, her eye for talent is no surprise. She has a keen interest in advanced reproductive techniques, and has upskilled over the last 5 years so that she is in a unique position to bring her knowledge and talent to the business for the benefit of clients.
Together this formidable team has founded The Stallion Shop.
The stallion shop is a one stop shop for all stallions available for import from Europe and beyond to Ireland, with fresh, chilled and frozen semen.
As Kylemore Stud is an EU centre for the storage and supply of semen, Olive and Chloe are in a unique position to offer a broad selection of stallions for their clients, where through the Stallion Shop they offer seamless online or phone ordering system, and a distribution network throughout Ireland North and South.
The Stallion Shop will store frozen semen at their base in Kylemore Stud, and in a number of Vet clinics for your convenience. A same day delivery service is also available on all frozen imported & fresh resident stallions, and a 24 hour delivery service on all fresh chilled stallions standing outside of Ireland (Mainland Europe).
While The Stallion Shop is a new venture, you can rest assured that your business is in safe hands with Olive and Chloe, who have built up a reputation over 25 years of doing honest business in Ireland and beyond, and who are held in high esteem with their European counterparts.

The Stallion Shop is a new company created by Mother and Daughter team Olive and Chloe Broderick in association with Kylemore Stud. The Stallion Shop was created to offer Irish Breeders of sports horses a wider variety of stallions, all in one place, both fresh and frozen available daily for delivery throughout Ireland and at various vet clinics throughout Ireland North and South. Having spent the winter visiting many international studs in Europe, The Stallion Shop can now offer a seamless ordering and billing and delivery procedure for Irish breeders, for almost all stallions available, with the knowledge that this company comes with a long standing reputation for excellent customer service.
Olive Broderick – Mare Manager
Olive is well known in equestrian circles throughout Ireland and Europe. Together with her husband Ivor they founded Kylemore Stud near Loughrea in Co. Galway over 25 years ago. The stud has gone from strength to strength due to the hard work and dedication shown by them both. Known for attention to detail in everything reproduction and equine related, it is no surprise that Kylemore Stud have a strong reputation for excellence.
It is with this strong ethic for professionalism in breeding that brings Olive to expand and provide a wider product choice for her clients. Through the founding of The Stallion Shop Olive together with her daughter Chloe are excited for their future together, building on the solid foundation of their existing business.
Chloe Broderick – Veterinary Surgeon
Chloe is a daughter of Olive and Ivor. She has grown up on Kylemore Stud, and has developed a keen interest in all things equine. She studied Veterinary Medicine and she graduated from the esteemed Wroclaw University of Life Sciences with her DVM in February 2023 she now joins the team as Veterinary Surgeon. Having gained valuable experience at various well regarded reproduction facilities in the UK and Europe she is excited to bring her knowledge and expertise to The Stallion Shop and Kylemore Stud.
Ivor Broderick – Stallion Manager
Ivor is married to Olive and together they have 3 children. Ivor is the ‘stallion man.’There isn’t a stallion in Europe that Ivor cannot discuss with the most knowledgeable among us. His interest in and dedication to being in the know about who’s who in the breeding stallion world makes him a fountain of knowledge for Irish breeders looking to source semen from Europe. The proof of the pudding as they say is in the eating, and Kylemore Stud with Ivor as its main stallion choice adviser has allowed many breeders success they only ever dreamed of! He is always available to discuss stallion choices, and has many connections throughout Europe who he talks with daily on breeding choices.
Ivor also sources young and experienced jumpers for clients and broodmares for breeders looking to improve their mare herd.
Sarah O’Grady – Accounts and Office Administrator
Sarah has over 18 years experience in account management, customer service and building and maintaining strong client relationships. She has built up a strong knowledge base in the equine reproduction business, and is very focused on the needs of clients in all aspects of their interactions not only during the busy stud season but throughout the year. Sarah has experience working in large multinational businesses and she is a powerful asset to The Stallion Shop and Kylemore Stud
