Description

Van Helsing belongs to the guard of proven international course leaders. He took second place in the Dortmund Grand Prix with Denis Lynch/IRL and also had numerous other international successes under the saddle of Flaminia Straumann/SUI. Initially not used much in breeding due to sporting reasons, he frequently sent offspring into top sports, such as Van Moor/Josch Löhden, who finished tenth at the Bundeschampionat and has since been successful in 1.50 meter jumping tests, and Vertigo Waf/Alexa Stais/RSA, who placed in Grand Prix . At the beginning of his show jumping career, Van Helsing qualified several times with Karl Brocks for the Federal Show Jumping Championships for five-year-olds, winning the qualification in Rastede with a straight very good (9.0). In the final of the Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships, the powerful bay also placed at the front. In 2011 he received his 70-day test in Neustadt/D. with 8.67 the highest jumping mark and with 137 the highest breeding value for jumping. The foreign riders even got a 9.75 for the jumping ability.

His sire Valentino, who was successful up to advanced (S) level show jumping, is a grandson of the great Voltaire via Now or Never and is employed by the Celle state stud farm. His offspring, who are successful in advanced level show-jumping, are led by the German Vice Champion and winner of the Opglabbeek/BEL Grand Prix, Vittorio/Sophie Hinners, the World Cup winner Vancouver Dreams/Max Kühner/AUT and the runner-up in the Wellington/USA Grand Prix. Van Gogh/Wilhelm Genn,

The maternal grandsire Argelith Stakkato, record Bundeschampion in 1998 and German Champion in 2003 in Gera and 2010 in Münster under Eva Bitter, dominated the FN breeding value estimation for eleven years. In 2007 he was named “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year”. More than 70 of his sons were licensed for breeding, around 120 of his daughters the state premium. More than 220 offspring compete in advanced courses, such as the German Champion Souvenir/Philipp Weishaupt, the winner of the Grand Prix of Hanover, Satisfaction FRH/Eva Bitter and Marco Kutscher, and the winner of the Grand Prix of Albfuhr/AUT, Special One// Tobias Meyer. Stakkato is also on the dam’s sire side for Colestus/Christian Kukuk and Ludger Beerbaum, Firth of Lorne and Singular LS La Silla/both Marcus Ehning and Perigueux/Eva Bitter.

The granddam Ancora produced the M** show jumper Calandra H (by Contendro I).

The third sire, Acord II, was Vice Bundeschampion in 1992 and competed in advanced level jumping classes under Thomas Mohr. Over 50 of his sons have been licensed. His offspring earned over 2.4 million euros in prize money.

The great-granddam Eljana produced the advanced level dressage horse Wejas (by World Cup I). Hanoverian mare line from the northern tip, from which the licensed stallions Jaccar (by Jet Stream xx), Don Bolero (by Davignon I), Fisherman (by Forrest xx), Dueker (by Duden II), Nurprimus (by Pinturischio xx ), Gruss (by Gmunden), Gurt (by Gmunden) and Red Diamond Fox (by Real Diamond) as well as sport horses and premium mares.
