Description

At the KWPN Stallion Show, Santiago impressed with his extraordinary jumping talent. This son of the renowned sire Eldorado van de Zeshoek was accordingly named reserve champion. He combines a large-framed conformation with a strong pedigree and remarkable athletic ability.
On his dam’s side, Santiago originates from a distinguished branch of the proven Sina line. His dam Erina has already produced multiple international showjumpers, including Wadro’s Jerina (s.Zirocco Blue VDL), who competes at 1.45m-level. Erina herself is a half-sister to the successful international 1.55/1.60m-level horses Nerina (s.Amaretto I) ridden by Jur Vrieling, and Drachten (s.Berlin) ridden by Jan-Philipp Weichert. His granddam Jerina is also listed as the granddam of top-level performer Hello Senator, with whom Scott Brash secured second place in the Rolex Grand Prix of Geneva and third place in the World Cup competition of Stuttgart. Other 155/1.60m-class competitors descending from Jerina in the second generation include Gweedore vd Groote Kamps Z of Harrie Wiering, and Jack of Thaisa Erwin.
Combined with this successful damline is the Grand Prix sport and breeding stallion Eldorado van de Zeshoek, who ranks among the top-ten of the WBFSH Sire Ranking thanks to outstanding offspring such as Killer Queen VDM and Elektric Blue P. In the second generation, Santiago carries the valuable genes of the esteemed sirea Kashmir van ’t Schuttershof folowed by Purioso, Nimmerdor and Marcom Polo, providing a solid genetic foundation for a promising future in both sport and breeding.
