The four-year-old Holsteiner stallion Magnus von der Söhr made a lasting impression during the Holsteiner stallion licensing and scored an 8.8 for jumping ability during his performance test in Münster-Handorf in April 2024. With an average score of 8.12, he was the best three-year-old showjumping stallion in this mini-test.

His pedigree combines elite sires with the distinguished Van ’t Roosakker lineage. His granddam, Otoucha van ’t Roosakker, has already been competing at 1.45m-level and is one of eleven international performing offspring from Ikea van ’t Roosakker, making her a half-sister to the 1.50m/1.60m-level performers L’Esprit Hero Z and Lexicon II van ’t Roosakker. This damline continues in the fourth generation with the legendary Grand Prix mare Electra van ’t Roosakker, a top-level competitor under Jos Lansink and the dam of more than ten international showjumpers, including Kent Farrington’s 1.60m horse Kaprice and the stallion Kassander van ’t Roosakker. WEG-competitor Nelson van ’t Roosakker and the 1.50m-level showjumpers Notre-Dame van ’t Roosakker and Panama van ’t Roosakker trace back to Electra in the second generation as well.

Magnus von der Söhr is sired by Manchester van ’t Paradijs, who competes at the highest level under Sadri Fegaier. His oldest progeny are embarking on their international careers, such as Manhattan 88 en Manoulito.
