Description

The impressively jumping Gaspahr has developed positively under the saddle of Pieter Keunen and is now competing at international Grand Prix level with Giampiero Garofalo. In 2021 they made their debut at 1.60m level and ended up at the 10^th place in the Rolex Grand Prix of Rome, after they had already secured the victory in the Grand Prix of Opglabbeek. In 2022 Gaspahr will be available with frozen semen only.

With his Italian rider, Gaspahr has made his Nations Cup debut last year. Paul Hendrix: “Hopefully he can expand his record with this rider in the coming season and prove his value for the Italian team. He is competing successfully at 5* level, while his oldest offspring are making an impression in the young horse competitions.” Gaspahr passes on his quality, conformation and extra rideability. In the Dutch young horse championship in 2021 he was represented by outstanding five-year-olds like Lumanda I, who ended up on the fifth place in the final, as well as finalist Laska JDV. Also in sport horse auctions, the offspring of Gaspahr were popular.

His sire Berlin was for many years a true ambassador for Dutch showjumping under Gerco Schröder. They achieved sporting highlights such as team gold at the WC in Aachen and European team gold in Mannheim. In breeding, Berlin has distinguished himself thanks to offspring like H&M Extra, Athene, Zilverstar T and Zerlin. Also the damline of Gaspahr has proven her value and has already produced Grand Prix showjumpers like Triple (s.Gran Corrado), Sterrehof’s Dante (s.Canturano) and No Limit (s.Indoctro).
