Description
It’s no exaggeration to say that Don Julio is bred for greatness. This young powerhouse stallion is the product of two legendary sires, Diamant de Semilly and Cento, both of whom have impressive sporting careers. Great-grandsire Nabab de Reve needs no introduction and is known worldwide for his enormous number of internationally performing offspring.
But it’s his dam that makes this one extra special! World-famous Centa de Muze is the dam of no fewer than eight black 1.45m-class sporthorses, three of which jumped at the 1.60m level! His grandmother is the 1.60m-jumper Waloon de Muze, who herself competed at the 1.60m GP level and is the dam of three more 1.60m-jumpers. And his great-granddam is none other than the dam of all dams, Qerly Chin, who needs no introduction.
In his first year, he did what was expected of him at the Belgian stallion competition: he jumped 4 out of 4 clear rounds, making him one of the select group of four-year-old stallion champions in 2024. The five-year-olds also had only clear rounds at Zangersheide International and in all rounds of the stallion competition. And as a six-year-old, he also made an impressive start, with a clear round in the 1* GP of Ghent as the highlight so far.
In the meantime, we have let his first offspring hop and what is striking is that they all show a lot of power from the hindquarters with a very active hind leg and a lot of natural balance.
In short, this young BWP-approved powerhouse has the impressive pedigree, stunning looks, and exceptional jumping ability that every breeder is looking for. We’re incredibly excited to see him develop and have very high expectations for this eye-catcher!
